Abstract
The general-base catalyzed ionization of phenyl-nitromethane is subject to large primary kinetic hydrogen isotope effects; these effects, their activation parameters, and the Brønsted catalysis coefficient for the reaction are used to discuss possible transition-state structures.Keywords
