Abstract
R01-8307 (N-formyl-chitosan polysulfuric acid), a sulfated mucopolysaccharide with low anticoagulant activity, has been shown, in a dose of 80 mg/kg, to produce marked reduction in the width of the zona glomerulosa of the rat adrenal gland without apparent effect on the other zones. This selective effect of R01-8307 suggests that the compound may be a useful tool in the study of adreno-cortical function. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
