Abstract
A patient with traumatic aneurysm of the ICA [internal carotid artery] following an attempted hypophysectomy is reported and the management of the case is discussed. Extensive review of the English literature and personal communications revealed only 4 other proven cases of intracranial aneurysms following operations on the ear and nose, 1 each following nasal polypectomy and partial intranasal ethmoidectomy, trans-antral ethmoidectomy, hypophysectomy and mastoidectomy. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
