Buergenerula and the Physosporellaceae

Abstract
The European B. biseptata (E. Rostrup) H. Sydow has as a North American synonym Yukonia caricis Sprague, the type species of Yukonia. The taxonomic position of Buergenerula is with members of the Physosporellaceae in the Phyllachorales. The Phyllachorales is divided into the Phacidiaceae, Porinaceae, Melogrammataceae (Phyllachoraceae) and Physosporellaceae. In the Physosporellaceae the genera Apiospora, Apiothyrium, Arwidssonia, Buergenerula, Exarmidium, Hyponectria, Monographella, Oxydothis, Physalospora and Pseudomassaria are distinguished by perithecial configuration and shape and septation of ascospores.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
