Abstract
A new melanosporous sp. P. montanense, is described. It is characterized by tall, unbranched or loosely branched colorless conidiophores, terminating in monoverticillate penicilli, and producing spherical, coarsely echinulate, dark-walled conidia in columns or tangled chains. The type culture and 15 other isolates were obtained from soils in native conifer forests in western Montana, U.S.A.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
