TWO ADENOMATA OF THE ISLANDS OF LANGERHANS.

Abstract
Adenomata of the islands of Langerhans have seldom been described in the literature, probably because they are accidental findings in the routine examination of autopsy material rather than because they are actually very rare. Nichols,1in 1902, reported one which he believed was the first of the kind on record, and Helmholtz,2in 1907, added a second case. The reader is referred to their articles for a discussion of several other tumors described as arising from the islands of Langerhans, but apparently of doubtful origin. A search through the literature reveals no additional cases. Recently, however, two tumors of this kind have come under my observation.
