Abstract
Although the quality of life attained after heart transplantation has been assessed, there is no equivalent information for recipients of liver grafts in this country. In this paper we report a cross-sectional survey of 81 adult patients in the Cambridge/King's College Hospital joint programme using the Nottingham Health Profile which is a validated measurement of the quality of life. The results show the quality of life to be high, and broadly similar to the levels expected in the general population. The data suggest an increase in the problems related to physical mobility (two-fold) and a reduction in problems of emotional reaction (a halving). This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
