Abstract
A solution has been found to the equation obtained earlier for the binary correlation function of an electron plasma; this equation takes into account, in the first non-vanishing approximation, effects of interaction retardation. Transverse interactions of particles at great distances are shown to diminish proportionally to r−3, as a result of which an isolated particle in the plasma is surrounded by a very extensive correlation cloud of currents. The collision integral obtained on the basis of Darwin's Lagrangian is shown to differ from one making precise allowance for retardation only in terms of the order (v/c)6.
