CONGENITAL ANEURYSM OF THE LEFT VENTRICLE: A CASE REPORT

Abstract
This is a case report of a 52-year-old Negro male who died of chronic pyelonephritis with uremia. He was followed for 14 years with a known aneurysm of the left ventricle. Because of the pathologic features found at autopsy, the aneurysm was thought to be of congenital origin; in addition, other possible causes of such an aneurysm were absent. A brief discussion of congenital aneurysm of the heart in general and a more detailed discussion of congenital aneurysm of the left ventricle in particular is given.
