Abstract
In this paper, experimental results and theoretical considerations are discussed which concern the amplification and detection of electric waves shorter than one meter in length, in a system wherein diodes and triodes are connected so as to produce oscillations of the Barkhausen and Kurz type. A simple theory of the electronic effect in the detector action is given. In some of the circuits use is made of a magnetic field applied in the direction of the axis of the electrodes within the tube. Keywords
