Abstract
The intensities of the fundamental vibration bands of HCl and DCl and of the ν1 and ν3 modes of SO2, ν3CS2 and ν1SOCl2 have been measured in a number of solvents. The results are discussed in relation to Buckingham's theory of solvent effects. Keywords
