Abstract
Illumination at the surface of a semiconductor sample generates a photodiffusion current, and a magnetic field applied transversely to the flow develops a Hall potential. Observation of the transient behavior shows a voltage peak preceding the steady state value. A theoretical account of this behavior is given under simplifying assumptions. Keywords
