Abstract
Loftier''s flagellum stain technique was employed in the study of the flagellation of secondary zoospores of Aphanomyces euteiches Drechs. (Saprolegniaceae: Saprolegniales). The zoospores were biflagellate, one flagellum bearing distinct tinsels and the other bearing a short terminal whip. As the flagella were being withdrawn, "bubbles" appeared in the crooks of each flagellum and sometimes the tips of the flagella rolled up into paddle-like structures. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
