Abstract
A novel analysis technique of annihilations at rest has recently brought strong evidence for a new state, called here , of mass 1477 ± 5 and width 116 ± 9 MeV/, which contributes dominantly to the final state. An analysis has been made of the considering all known intermediate states. It is found that only the cascade and with quantum numbers , () describes . The product branching ratio is large, equal to (11.1 ± 0.8)%. The is a good candidate as a quasinuclear bound state or as a state or, perhaps, as a glueball.
