X-Ray Sources in the Southern Milky Way

Abstract
The Ariel V sky survey detectors have been used to study X-ray sources within 15° of the galactic plane between 255° and 340° galactic longitude. Fourteen new sources have been found and locations and strengths are derived. Strengths are also given for 27 sources discovered in previous surveys which have been definitely detected by Ariel V. Ten previously detected sources were not visible in our survey. One new source is possibly associated with the variable star ƞ Carinae or with a nearby supernova remnant.
