Abstract
The elastic constants of strontium titanate (SrTi) were measured by the compound resonator method. Oriented quartz cylinders were used as drivers to excite the sample cylinders. The measured values for the compliance constants are , , and . The elastic behavior of SrTi is found not to be entirely analogous to that of BaTi.
