Abstract
This paper gives a tabulated list of 117 samples dated by the radiocarbon method at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences of the New Zealand D.SJ.R. between July 1958 and the end of 1959. Proportional counting of carbon dioxide gas was the method used, and the ages were calculated in terms of a half-life of 5760)±50 years. Samples from Antarctica and the deep ocean are excluded. The samples include 71 from New Zealand, 19 from Australia, 9 from Western Samoa, 4 from the Subantarctic Islands, 4 from Borneo, 4 from Israel, 2 from West Africa, 2 from the West Indies, 1 from Saudi Arabia, and 1 from Peru. The samples are grouped in major categories as follows: Holocene Studies, Pleistocene Studies, Archaeology, Volcanology, and Miscellaneous. Keywords
