Abstract
The nodes of the momentum eigenfunction for the ground state of the hydrogen molecule ion have been studied by calculating the momentum eigenfunction as a function of the momentum component Pz (z axis parallel to line of centers) with Px=Py=0. The existence of zeros in the ground‐state eigenfunction is confirmed. Keywords
