Abstract
The fatty acid compositions of 12 Conidiobolus species were determined. The n-saturated acids comprised C12, C13, C14, C15, C16, C17, and C18, while nC16, nC17, nC18, and nC20 unsaturated acids were also present. In addition, C. heterosporus contained three saturated branched-chain acids. The correlation between these data and the classification of these fungi is discussed.
