Abstract
Administration of the anti-thyroid drugs, propylthiouracil, thiouracil and methimazole, is accompanied by an increase in the spontaneous NaCl intake of male and female rats offered choice between water and .15 M NaCl solution to drink. The increase in NaCl intake occurs within one week after treatment begins and is independent of either pituitary or adrenal glands. Keywords
