A Histopathologic Study of Mice Infected with the Larval Stage of Multiceps serialis

Abstract
This study revealed two types of brain lesions due to the larval stage of M. serialis. One is a hemorrhagic, necrotic lesion in areas removed from the parasite, the other is due to the partial development of a small bladder form with an outer hyaline cuticular membrane. Details of these lesions as well as those noted in other tissues are given and discussed in the light of the response of this abnormal host.
