Transformation d'une phlogopite en vermiculite par extraction du potassium

Abstract
The use of reagents able to precipitate potassium, such as sodium cobaltinitrite and sodium tetraphenylborate have made it possible to extract the major part of the interfoliary K of a phlogopite from Madagascar with ease and hence obtain an expansible phyllite for which the data X, thermic and crystallochemical characteristics are those of a veritable vermiculite.
