Abstract
Letters to the Editor arrive in our office at the rate of nearly 100 a week. They come from all over the world, and they deal with virtually every conceivable medically related subject. The majority concern articles or letters previously published in the Journal, but there are also opinions on an endless variety of other, unrelated topics. One kind of letter that seems to be more frequent of late is a report of new research findings.
