Abstract
Photoluminescence properties of Zn-doped CuAlS2 crystals have been studied in connection with the composition and crystal phases of the samples. It has been found out that Zn at relatively low concentration introduces a deep donor-like defect in the band gap of a host compound, whereas doping with Zn in a high concentration results in a formation of a multiphase structure on the surface and in the presurface region of the samples, this structure resulting in an enhancement of blue and green luminescence inherent to the lightly Zn-doped CuAlS2 phase. Keywords
