Abstract
A scanning X-ray microradiographic system is described with which it is possible to measure the X-ray absorption in a 1 mm .times. 1 mm area of a section in .apprx. 27 h at a resolution of 20 .mu.m with a reproducibility of .apprx. .+-. 1.5%. This system has advantages over photographic methods for certain quantitative investigations. The results can be presented in various forms including contour maps and half-tone pictures and this is illustrated with a radiograph of a section of a carious lesion in [human] dental enamel. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
