Abstract
Five cases of leiomyomata of the esophagus presenting as mediastinal masses are described. The barium swallow study is critical in making the diagnosis; the roentgenographic features are typical. The presentation of leiomyomata of the esophagus as mediastinal masses is unusual, but should be considered in any differential diagnosis of mediastinal lesions. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
