Abstract
BECAUSE most studies of patients with Cushing's syndrome have been concerned with other considerations, relatively little attention has been devoted to the ovaries. Indeed, to our knowledge, there are no reports dealing primarily with the ovarian findings in this disease. Scattered, incidental allusions to ovarian changes appear in Cushing's original article1 and in subsequent publications by other investigators.2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 In general, the reported observations are quite variable and lacking in agreement and consistency.The purpose of the present communication is to report on the morphologic status of the ovaries obtained at post-mortem examination from 10 patients with Cushing's syndrome.
