The Equilibrium Position of an Orientation Junction of an Edge Dislocation Dipole

Abstract
Using a linear isotropic theory of elasticity, a calculation is made of the energy and the equilibrium position of an orientation junction of an edge dislocation dipole. The junction is approximated by segments of straight lines and the calculation shows that the junction is highly localized.Keywords
