Abstract
The feasibility of reading assessment and training via CRT-displayed text was investigated by implementing a computer-displayed version of the Nelson-Denny Reading Test. Experiments were conducted to directly assess the effects of CRT display upon reading, rather than lebibility test performance. Results suggested that standard legibility measures (e.g., scanning rate) may be inappropriate criteria in evaluating CRT displays in more usual reading tasks. Keywords
