Abstract
This paper reports on a study that raised the question whether examining interpersonal communication as depicted in novels might suggest subtle possibilities useful in the study of real life case histories, biographies, and oral histories. The method of analysis will be explained, followed by the heuristic propositions based on the analysis, and speculations on the propositions. Keywords
