Abstract
Grain insects attacking shelled corn stored in 2000-bushel steel bins are controlled by recleaning and fumigating. The toxicity of 12 chemical mixtures to stored grain insects is compared under conditions of storage. Promising fumigant mixtures are C2H4Cl2[long dash]CCl4 (3-D[long dash]CH3Br, 10%; CH3CH2-CHCI2-CCI4 (3-D[long dash]CH3Br, 10%; Ethide 1,1-dichloro-l-Nitroethane-CCIi; CCl3NO2-CCI4; satisfactory fumigants are C2H4Cl2-CCl4 (3-1); CS2; CCVCS2 (4-1), and similar proprietary mixtures. CH3Br when used alone was not a satisfactory grain fumigant. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
