Abstract
Samples (8) belonging to 3 spp. of Crocidura (Insectivora: Soricidae), C. russula, C. suaveolens and C. leucodon, were analyzed biochemically by electrophoresis. The variations of proteins encoded by 28 genetic loci are presented in a table of allelic frequencies observed in each sample. Genetic differentiation between populations is expressed by the standard genetic distance. A great amount of differentiation was observed between the 3 spp. studied, comparable to the genetic distances caluclated between morphologically well-differentiated species of mammals. Values do not show a close relationship between C. russula and C. suaveolens, as has been suggested. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
