Abstract
Techniques developed in the transmission of chicken- and dog-transmissible tumors were successful when used in attempts to transmit a chromophobe adenoma of the parakeet pituitary. The positive transplants increased to 100% in the fifth, sixth, and seventh passages. No chemical substances or physical exposures were employed before inoculation to alter the resistance of the birds. The birds in which the transplants were successful exhibited clinical changes similar to those described by Schlumberger. The cell type has not changed since the early passages. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
