Abstract
Deriving induction motor equivalent circuit parameters from manufacturer's response curves is a difficult and time consuming task. Parameters for locked rotor and running conditions are supplied with the curves, but neither accurately describes motor response between these conditions. This paper presents a convenient way to derive a set of parameters suitable for the entire operating range and, therefore, suitable for use in induction motor-starting studies. An accurate model is essential to predict available starting torques. Keywords
