Abstract
The authors have modified the generalised Coulomb-projected Born approximation proposed by Stauffer and Morgan (1975) by introducing a screening parameter which varies with the coordinates of the incident particle. Total and differential cross sections have been calculated at various medium and high incident energies for 1s to ns (n=2,3,4) transitions in electron-hydrogen collisions. Elastic scattering results are also included for electron-hydrogen collisions. Keywords
