Abstract
Problems involved in applying the usual mode-choice modelling methods to leisure travel are discussed and a number of points are investigated empirically. It is suggested that the mode-choice model may not be useful for the analysis of a large part of leisure trip-making behaviour. However, a set of data is found for which the assumptions of the model are valid and a number of mode-choice models are estimated. Keywords
