Abstract
Various definitions of resolution currently used in scintillation scanning are re-examined, and relationships derived for several of these. It is proved that these relationships hold for a single channel, as well as for the focal point of multichannel collimators. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data. It is shown that if the quantities which express the collimator resolution are not strictly defined, appreciable errors may arise. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
