Abstract
Experimentally determined quantum yields depend upon the usual thermokinetic parameters as well as the nature of the absorbed radiation. For a radiative field of both photochemical and thermal significance, the thermokinetic determination of the photochemical steady state is examined. The photochemical steady state is a particular case of the thermokinetic steady state. Application is made to the case of quantum yields for ozone. Keywords
