Abstract
Thesearchforexplanationsofthespatialbehaviorofindividuals andgroupsinevitablyleadstoadiscussionoftheprocessesthat influencebehavior.Recentemphasisingeographyoninteraction, diffusionanddecision-makingmodels,andasurgeofinterestin somespatialaspectsofpsychophysicaltheoriesofperception, confirmthistrend.Anotherprocessthatinvolvessomeuseful spatialconcepts,butwhichsofarhasmeritedscantattentionin geography,isthelearningprocess.Itistheaimofthispaperto examinetheroleofthisprocessinspatialbehavior,toindicatesome usefulspatialconceptsfromlearningtheory,toreviewaselectionof learningmodelsthatcouldconceivablybeusedinaspatialframeworkandtosuggestsomeproblemsthataresuitableforanalysisby themodelspresentedinthepaper.Keywords
