Abstract
A case of bivalent interlocking, observed at diakinesis in Lilium regale, involved the 2 sides of a loop of 1 bivalent passing through separate adjacent loops of a 2nd bivalent. This demonstrates that the formation of the central chiasma of the 2nd bivalent has involved genetical crossing-over and hence is strong evidence in favor of the chiasmatype theory of chiasma formation. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
