Abstract
Radiative lifetimes of a number of excited S and D states in potassium have been measured by time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence using two-photon excitation. Good agreement between the measurements and a modified Coulomb approximation calculation was achieved when the effects of black-body radiation were taken into account. Keywords
