Abstract
This article summarizes some of the basic information regarding the design and use of circuits --i.e., coincidence circuits--for time coincidence measurements on pulses having durations of the order of nanoseconds. The design features of contemporary circuits are discussed. Some performance parameters are listed and techniques of evaluating the performance of coincidence circuits are mentioned. The sendinig, transmission, and receiving of fast pulses is reviewed. The special cases of majority logic and coincidence matrices are briefly discussed. Keywords
