Abstract
Histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine, 1 μg./kg. depress, and (–)-adrenaline and (±)-noradrenaline 0·5 μg./kg. raise, the blood pressure of fowls under pentobarbitone anaesthesia. With each compound the response in mm. Hg is linearly related to log dose. The responses have been used satisfactorily for the assay of these compounds. Keywords
