Abstract
These authors, director and technician, respectively, of the Botanical Institute of the University of Siena, have begun to supply a long-felt need, namely, the compilation of an up-to-date compendium on medical mycology. At present, the work comprises three thin fasciculi of about twenty-five printed pages each; when completed, it will number ten and include 100 species and 400 illustrations. Since one fasciculus has appeared in the last three years, it is a little disappointing to anticipate, at the same rate, seven more years before the entire opus is completed. The scope of the work is the broadest, embracing mycology in its internal and veterinary medical as well as dermatologic aspects.
