An Economical Rumen Cannula

Abstract

A flexible, economical bovine rumen cannula of large size has been constructed. The procedure for the production of the cannula is presented in detail. Sampling of rumen ingesta can be done without removing the cannula. It is accomplished simply by removing the plastic beaker. However, it is also very simple to remove the entire cannula.
