Abstract
THE exact functional activities of the parathyroid hormone have not as yet been clearly defined, and it is often difficult for the physician to discern the functional status of the parathyroid glands. Some observations to be reported here on the response of normal individuals and of patients with abnormal parathyroid function to intravenous administration of calcium salts appear to throw some light on parathyroid physiology.
