Abstract
T2 bacteriophage treated with 8 [image]urea releases much of its DNA. Such a preparation is devoid of viable phage but, upon mixture with protoplasts of E. coli strain B or of the T2 resistant strain B2 produced phage T2- Evidence is presented to support the contention that actual infection of the protoplasts with DNA has occurred. Keywords
