Abstract
An exploration of the relationships, both static and dynamic, between the self-image and the Draw-a-Person Test. The static relationship was explored by means of a correlation matrix which showed significant positive correlation between a measure of physical self-esteem and the height, athletic appearance and affect of the person drawn. Negative feedback in the form of criticism of the subject's physical abilities was then introduced to allow exploration of the dynamic relationship. Lowered self-esteem following negative feedback was reflected in constriction of the height of the person drawn, but the drop in self-esteem seemed to be compensated for by a heightening of the athletic appearance of the person drawn. Keywords
