Abstract
A 46-year-old man had several "café au lait" spots and palpable neurofibromas. He had a surgery for optic nerve glioma 20 years earlier. Tc-99m (V) DMSA whole-body scintigraphy showed many peripheral neurofibromas(some of which could not be palpable on physical examination). One large neurofibroma at the left elbow was removed because of pain and discomfort caused by motion. Pathologic diagnosis was a benign neurofibroma. One year later, whole-body images showed a similar pattern, except for a removed neurofibroma at the left elbow. Single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT) images show superficial neurofibromas and deep-seated, nonpalpable lesions of the thorax and pelvis. Whole-body images showed multiple lesions. Keywords
