Abstract
In calculating repulsive forces between closed shells, two essentially different methods have been used. It is shown in this paper that they should not be expected to give equal numerical results, and attention is called to some finer methodological points in the theory of exchange forces. Tables I—III give numerical results for the interaction of neutral He atoms. Keywords
